First I want to make a comment about yesterday's debates. They were really good!!! You should be very proud of yourselves to be able to actually debate in English. That is truly an impressive feat. I, for one, am very impressed. It's not easy at all.

Second, I hope you're having a good time and that maybe you get to see some fireworks despite the rain...

Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for (drum roll please): THE HOMEWORK!

For Monday, please read "Sex, Lies, and Conversation" and answer the questions on the handout. Be prepared to discuss in class.

Also, in RS, do the inference paragraphs that I assigned in class. I don't have the book here right now but its the page after the examples we did in class.

For listening, I recommend listening to all the lectures in chapter 6 again for practice. I will probably give you a listening test next week on a related topic.

Finally, on townsendpress.net, try some of the exercises on the inference chapter.

Oh, and for those of you who didn't score above 75 on the supporting details and organizational patterns chapters in townsendpress.net, I expect you to try some of the other practice exercises and tests.
